CATCH IT!
It’s all about why and how a group of people together is smarter than one or a few.
Where do you usually sees it?
- Wikipedia. The first person creates the wiki. Others might find that certain information is lacking/are wrong and will make changes. The final page may not be the same. However, this time, it is more accurate as compared to the initial one created by just one person. There is thus higher credibility in a way.
- Google. The search results on Google are based on a particular formula that revolves around the number of links a person has. The idea is that Google make use of that to identify who to list on the front page of search results.
Say, if you are a renown psychologist, when people searches for ‘psychology’, ‘mind’ and so on, they would be able to see your link on the front page (or earlier pages) since you have many clients who link you on their websites/mention you.
Hence, you could be just someone who is interested in psychology but your website will not be listed on the search results pages (first couple of pages) as you do not have as many people linking you.
Bottom line is, numbers make a difference!
When might Wisdom of Crowd not work?
- When there is an expert of that particular topic in the group. People are more inclined to them.
Here’s one video to cater to your understanding of that phrase:
I love this video. Reminds me of a certain movie. =D
And this is something similar to what Ping had us to do during the tutorial the other day to demonstrate the point.
How cool is that?
Last week, we were enlightened by Sam and Dine on the differences between Facebook page and group during their presentation for New Communication Technologies (NCT).
After they ‘lectured’ us on the differences, we were told to create a Facebook group or fan page, depending the group we were in.
Ping showed us how we can view the statistics (which reminded me of wordpress) and I was quite shocked that such a function is free!
My group was assigned to create a Facebook page, which surprisingly, was not as easy to create as the tab was right at the bottom of the site.
I certainly did not expect it to come under ‘Advertising’…
This entry might sound rather dry… but HEY!
Treat it as though i’m helping you with your general knowledge (teehee), which is especially important if you are a Facebook user thinking of setting up a Facebook group and/or page now or in the near future!
* * *
To me, Facebook page simply means my Facebook profile, and Facebook group refers to any group that people forms on the social networking site.
That was what most of us think too and we were wrong on both counts.
You must be thinking what rubbish i am talking about and continue to insist that a page and group are one and the same.
Well, below are two tables that will change your perception, as it did mine:

[Source: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/facebook-group-vs-facebook-fan-page-whats-better/7761/]

[Credit: as tagged]
Facebook page is otherwise known as a fan page.
Fan pages are visible to unregistered users and are generally better to build long-term rapports with fans, readers or customers, whereas groups are usually for active discussions and attract quick attention.
* * *
Now that you know the differences, depending on the nature of your purpose, you may create a fan page and/or Facebook group.
Checkout this tutorial on how to create a Facebook page:
[*2.11mins onwards]
And that of creating Facebook group:
[*3.44mins onwards]
These aren’t the best videos i can find, but they certainly do teach you the basics. =]
“If you’re looking to create a group for your business on Facebook, you may want to create a Facebook page instead. A group that is for internal use is probably fine, but if you’re interested in having clients become fans of your business then creating a Facebook page is the preferred solution.
Before creating a group on Facebook, you should read the terms of service. Facebook notes that groups that attack a specific person or group of people (e.g. racist, sexist, or other hate groups) will not be tolerated. Creating such a group will result in the immediate termination of your Facebook account.” -nemock (youtube)
In addition, do note that only if you are related to the person whom you are creating the fan page for, or if you belong to his/her management, can you create a fan page.
In other words, a page is more official.
On the other hand, Facebook groups can be created by any users.

Was looking at the terms people used in search engines that (accidentally) led them to this blog…
Can’t help laughing at some search phrases…
One of them was “how to check where is my ezlink if lost”. Another was on where they can replace their cards. ROFL!
Okay, sorry, this is unkind of me since id experienced it just yesterday? *karma*
Hope you guys have found yours already! =]
Reached my limitation. Someone’s a goner.
*true evil chuckle*
No, I’m not kidding.

Okay, I’m just a little wee bit crazy about this YAHOO! YOUREKA! thing……

I’m so terrible. Was supposed to do something related to school (which i still cannot remember what) but ended up playing this Tetris-like game called ‘SMASH WALL‘ on YOUREKA! page.
Click on the brick which has a game console on it.
I lost all my game lives at the start… =.=
But hey, i managed to play until level 4 with a score of 1670/2710 okay.
Checked the Top 10 scoreboard and saw someone named ‘Wally’ at number 2!
Hey Wals, is that you?
I was pleasantly surprised by the creativity of this game. The way they integrated it to be part of the page and the interaction with other blocks. Kudos to the game designer(s) and people who conceptualized it
Go smash some bricks here when you have time! =D
I gotta go figure out what i was about to do before i was distracted by this game…
Communication alone, without some fun, would not be as effective as one that is interactive and fun enough to capture target audiences’ attentions + retain their interests.
What say you?
For those who got my tweets, yes, i found my Ez-link card. In yesterday’s jeans. =.=”
Was afraid that i would have to continue to fork out extra bucks for a replacement but the Concession Card Replacement Office ladies told me to call Transitlink office immediately as they might not have canceled the card yet.
And hooray, they hadn’t and i can continue to use my old card!
Would be a waste if i were to spend on a new card since this is already my final year.
Went to the library to celebrate since it was already too late to head down to Pyaya’s place. Bought some sushi too.
Was about to leave Lot 1 when i received a bad news from Jov. Could hardly believe it. I can’t believe we’d missed that out the other day. Will deal with it tomorrow. Yes, im in a state of shock. *prays that all will be fine*
Anyways, went to Cathay to redeem my red tag for the Yahoo! YUREKA! hunt thingie.
The friendly Yahoo! crew got me to draw a tag from the lucky draw box and i got a PURPLE TAG amongst the red ones! Thanks guys! <3
Registered with them for the YOUREKA! Challenge @ YOUREKA! Finale Party on the 28th November (oh no, just realized class outing/chalet might falls on that date too but i will come after/before this competition). I wonder how many others qualify for this treasure hunt… Stand a chance to win a Honda Jazz!! OMG. Hope my luck won’t fails me on that day. That would determine whether i should get a license or not.
Oh. I think i might have filled in my NRIC name instead of the ‘Aileen Tan’ and hotmail email address instead of my yahoo! one. Hopefully that won’t pose as a problem. But what irony eh?
And it has BUS PLUS TRAIN CONCESSION VALUE inside on top of $2.08!!!
Couldn’t find it anywhere. In the end i was too late to watch oktoLIVE! repeat as well as head down to Pyaya’s house for Deepavali housewarming…
Called Han to ask what i should do and she advised me to call up Transitlink. Thanks Han.
I canceled the card… Hopefully i wont find that card at work since the cancellation is permanent. =’(
The customer service officer gave me a claim number and told me to bring along $18 replacement fee + $5 top up value, together with passport-size photo and NRIC to the Card Replacement Office later. Sigh.
The only lucky thing is that they can refund my remaining concession amount though i can only claim from them next week. Okay, not exactly a good thing… but at least my 93 bucks concession won’t fly off just like that.
Funny, how i always seem to lose things. Spectacles, laptop, everyday things like pens and now, EZ-link card! I can never be too paranoid enough.
Shall go out to replace my card now. Wish me luck.
I wonder what else i will lose next.
Yes! It’s over! One down, 16 more to go!
We rushed to work after school for rehearsals. Ping, Ms Nga, our director, Mrs Lam, Mr Loh, seniors Rahim and Fatimah visited us. =D
The kids were really cute! Especially TJ. *awwww*
And i LOVE the set design!!! <333
Anyways, checkout what these crazy people were doing during breaks:
This one is epic. Jov and Yam/n danced to Jaiho while poor Flo was trying to mop away the water that Ying2 accidentally spilled (LOL!) and their footprints.
And finally, we were left with 30 minutes to the start of the show.
Managed to watch two MVs from TVB channel only. ROFL.
Yam/n and I took turns mending the SMS thingie while our producer, LH, advised us.
It was a touching moment when i saw the opening titles.
After the first commercial break, i swapped with Yam/n to try out the SMS thing.
Time passed really quickly and i had no time to watch and hear what was going on until nearing the end when the SMS bar was taken out.
During the credits, i felt emotional again. *sob*
THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HARD WORK!
After the show, we went to Novena Square with Mr Loh for dinner at Fish and Co. Seafood platter! Felt super full. Celebrated Mr Loh’s ‘birthday’ (oktoLIVE’s season 1 anniversary cum oktoLIVE season 2 ep 1). Superb hilarious. Way to go, Mr Loh!
Please pardon the quality.
I hope i can try out new things such as mending the video calls, voice calls and so on next time. I wouldnt want to be restricted to one, would you? =]
oktoLIVE! will repeat every Sunday, 1pm, so do tune in if you have missed it yesterday night!
Will post up more photos soon! Note this space.

See you there!
This is a birthday video produced by the oktoLIVE! team (after many many many takes ‘cos i kept laughing. Sorry guys! ROFL!)!
[P.s. ignore my crappy hair, stiff body, clenched fists and deep voice. i was trying hard not to erupt into laughter.]
And here are some behind-the-scenes of the making of Ping’s birthday video! XD
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PING!!! >.<
Hope you have an enjoyable time teaching us and THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!!
Stay young forever!!!
We know you love us. *wink*
Random stuff.. O.O
Really sorry to the poor Chinese man whom i accidentally knuckle-punched in school today.
Was talking animatedly to Aq and Jov about the high price of joining SP’s Graduate Guild membership while walking past the lifts when i swung out my left arm and punched a man who was walking behind.
Here’s the scenario:
Me: (talking about the expensive-ness of the Grad Guild membership) *swings out left arm to demonstrate my case*
My left arm: *bang against something hard*
Something hard: OOFFGGHH!!!
Me: *turns head and saw a middle-aged Chinese man clutching his chest in pain and was stunned* OH MY GOD. SORRY SORRY SORRY *pat his shoulders* SORRY!!!
Chinese man in pain: OWW…! *turns and looks at me in pain before rushing into CASS office*
Me: *calls out after him* SORRRYY!!!
I can’t help laughing whenever i recall that incident. Super duper ZOMG.
BUT! I was really lucky that that Chinese man did not yell at me or anything. He looked more shocked than angry at that point of time. Though i believe he must be cursing me right now…
Perhaps he was in a rush just now…
Oh. And luckily that person was not a lecturer or student! >.<
P let us watch a short clip of Minority Report (directed by Steven Spielberg) starring Tom Cruise last week during our New Communication Technologies (NCT) tutorial class.
It has been a long while since id last caught the movies and this one definitely had me hooked.
Throughout the show, i was constantly awed by the great amount of effects used. I think my jaws dropped at least ten times as we were constantly bombarded with mad crazy futuristic ideas such as vehicles that drive vertically up and down buildings because in the year 2054, there just isnt any space left for more roads!
With technology advancing like nobody’s business, John Anderton (Tom Cruise) and his team of police officers from Precrime department had to catch people who had not but were about to commit murders!
Who would have thought of such insane (but might turn true) stuff?!
I wouldnt want to reveal more about this movie if you hadnt watch it. It’s darn cool and makes you reflect on the future.
You might think that such stuff wouldnt happen. But who knows right?
Come on, who would have thought that one can actually communicate with a US President (via Twitter. Although most probably he might not reply…)?
With new communication technologies constantly evolving and overtaking the traditional media, anything is possible.
New media today might turn obsolette tomorrow.
Came across this page after nearly 1 month. Weeeh~!

Inspiration
Anyway, yesterday Jov and I met one of the most amazing person ever. He’s just 19 but has accomplished much in all areas that we barely have a foot on. I can’t help but write about him.
We were constantly shocked one after another on the vast amount of information and knowledge he has.
He is a guitarist, Team Singapore freestyle slalom skater, keyboardist, used to breakdance, ice-skate… and now he’s taking up vocals lessons! I think i might have missed out some stuff here.

Smart Dan wearing his 1000 plus skates. OMO!
He looks like a typical 19 years old guy (the introvert-looking type) but he has an amazing success story behind him. Language excellent and all that.
In fact, his entire family is talented too! Dad quited work to write two books, Mum is some manager at NTU, 1st brother is a doctor/neurosurgeon, 2nd brother’s a psychologist… and he’s a jack of all trades.
He told us that everyone in his family writes. And yes, Jov and I were stunned again. His brothers are obsessed with things like the history of mathematics (how did pi came about), spatial dimensions (which Jov and I still have no idea what that is), and so on! He gave us the link to his blog and I was again awed by his language, thinkings and NUMBER OF COMMENTS FROM READERS!!! Some posts have nearly 800 over comments!!!
At just 19, he has strong beliefs in many things… buying of properties while working a fixed salary job, and so on. He has a zeal to succeed in life too! For example, when we told him that he should be more outgoing and speak up when we met him the other time, he told us that he had worked on that and we really saw that he improved!
We felt so un-talented and not special beside him!
He has lot’s of questions about life and so on and his speech made us think about our lives.
For him, he has so many things that he want to do but he does not know which.
For me, i have some things that i want to do, but those are dreams. What i really want to do after graduation? I have no ideas still. Graduation is fast approaching and i am still in a spot over my future plans. Oh no.

Dan's handmade skates that costs 1000+ from Korea!

He had his name imprinted on his skates too! Gold and black! Wow!

Motion Sickness
We have worked for more than one month at MCS now.
Saw celebrities, attended events, took photos with some of the artistes, screamed silently in our hearts when we saw our favorite DJs (*yells ‘DANIEL ONG’ and ‘MUTTONS’* and artistes (‘KYM NG’, ‘DARREN TAN’, etc*)……
Saw Darren, Daniel, Mr Young, Gurmit, Ge Ping, Li Ping, Patricia, Glenn, Andie and many others at MCS Artistes V.S. DJs basketball challenge last Friday!

After completing our work, we dropped by the BasketBall court to watch the artistes VS DJs match.
And of course, we understood more about productions.
Have gotten used to it although i will still whimper about the timing, distance and so on. Can’t help it, sorry. =P
One thing that might not change would be my terrible motion sickness.
Now, i can barely get out of the bus or cab in the right state of mind and health. *pukes*
And no, wearing spectacles does not help much.
Anyways, i can’t believe it. THIS Friday would be the first episode of oktoLIVE!
Yam/n and I would be handling the SMS system, Jov and Shireen the 3G call-ins, Lum, Aaronic and Megs as floor managers, Ying2 with VT line-up, Flo on panel.

Jov and Shireen before the 3G tech test run the other day. They man the 3G call-ins.
Quite nervous but hopefully everything will goes well. Have faith.
This time, oktoLIVE!’s is targeted at 4 to 12 years old kids. BUT. If you are still a kid at heart, do catch it!
oktoLIVE!
Every Friday
6.30pm to 7pm
only on okto! channel
What is Project MuttonC?
One of the tasks that P assigned us for our New Communication Technologies (NCT) module is to set up a wordpress account. We have to treat it as a personal website for us to showcase our talents/achievements and so on.
Project MuttonC is currently taking place and don’t be surprise if this blog undergo any minor/major changes in terms of writings, layouts, designs and contents in the next few weeks.
However, i will still retain some personal touches and entries (i.e. of my idols, personal life).
Objective
To market, differentiate and brand myself from others in the REAL world while retaining personal slices of life accounts.
EUREKA! I found a red ticket on my third try!

ARGH. Inline Skating elective is on a Wednesday!
Won’t be able to take it up due to internship. *groans*

I have a sudden urge to pick up inline skating and juggling!
I WANT TO LEARN FREESTYLE SLALOM!!!
That explains why i decided to try out inline skating/roller-blading at East Coast Park the other day. Freestyle slalom is darn cool, i tell y’all!
Anyway, speaking of juggling, I went to Toys R’ Us the other day after our meet-up with a client to ask for juggling bean bags/balls. The staff said they do not have!!! AHHH!!! No time to sew three balls for myself……
Digressing abit, i hope i have time to visit the new Hilltop library when school starts (which is tomorrow ‘cos today is MCS offday so we don’t need to work from office, and there’s no class for us on Monday)! I wanna borrow some books from there!!! *sees Jov and Yam/n shaking heads*
Somehow i felt touched and sad while watching this video of Ga-In as “a pro-gamer in a music drama for Samsung’s “4Tomorrow project” which was released on the 19th“.
[Credit to dwarousHQ for video and johnnydorama@allkpop for article]
- Read finish the borrowed BTT book. No, i didnt enrol. Yet.
- Us visiting one of our clients… Back at a tuition center for me. First time though for Jov. Smart girl.
- Jov’s obsessed with the girl model. LOL!
- Cute bins at United Square
- Came across this neat little outlet @ United Square after meeting some clients. The guy was teaching people how to roll candies!!
- I think he’s Wayne. They appeared in the news just days after we visited their outlet! Darn friendly and vocal.
- People kept flocking by to watch them make their candies.
- Checkout this CNA link for the article of this candy shop (http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/eatndrink/view/1011737/1/.html)
- Bought Korean Rice Cake with Jov from an outlet at Square 2 the other day. Nice but slightly plain and TOO SPICY!!! *screams* ROFL!
- Jov and I visited Yam/n and one of our producers in the editing suite the other day in hope of learning something. OMG. That editor edited like nobody’s business! Darn fast! First VT of Yam/n+Shireen’s segment is out. DARN NICE!!!
- Bought this cup pasta from Watson’s and tried cooking at office. OMG. Looked darn fake sia. HAHAA. Ying2 was so excited to see how the cup pasta was like! She was quite disappointed in the end. LOL!
- The pasta tasted horrible and ‘plastic’-cy. OMG. 2 bucks.
- At the makeup unit before Yam/n shoot. Jov and I followed her and another of our producers on the shoot for the first time.
- Jov and Yam/n’s nonya poses @ the makeup unit last Friday
- On the way to the shooting place in the early morning. Sha-lalala~
- Weird coin imprinting machine @ Suntec.

- Noticed a Korean restaurant at ECP. Just behind the bike/skate rental shop and Burger King.
- My Ah Gui loves to climb out when he’s let out of his container (in toilet). BUT. He knows when to go back after roaming around the house!
- LOL. Han, this is my Ah Gui’s humongous shell! Post up photos of yours!

- It tried to pick stuff from the bin to eat.
- Toppled the bin’s lid in the end… Mission accomplished.
- I’m not a fan of monkeys although they can be cute sometimes. Read too many articles about how monkeys can attack people already…
- More monkeys. Thought they only come out at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve…
- The whole area was plagued with monkeys… Joggers and passer-bys just ignored them. LOL!
- A poorly taken photo of Farmart @ Lim Chu Kang. LOL! Admit it. It looks nice though. Like some watercolor painting. WAHAHA!

My FIRST time touching a doggie and having it close to me. She (the labrador) sniffed at us when we came and squeezed into the narrow space in between Jov and I when we were sitting down.
She actually went directly in front of me and had her nose on my knees. So wonderful to touch her. She doesnt bark or bite. Perfect dog in my eyes. <333 Miss her!!!

OMG. You know what? When i shaked hands with one of the Beatles Unlimited members, HE BOWED 45 DEGREES AT ME!!! First time people bow at me i think! WAH!!! Anyways, next year would be the band’s 20th anniversary together. They are from Austria, the place where the silver-blue can of RedBull is from! Cool eh?
President Nathan passed by us numerous times too, but of course, not without his bodyguards.
Didnt take photo with Darren Tan though. Crap crap crap. But he did pass by me several times. Teehee. According to Yam/n, he was from Project Superstars.
It’s real cool to be seated with other important guests, separate from shrieking fans. Haha. One good thing about that is that my ears neednt get tortured. ROFL.
Down thing though is that ive to don formal and timing-wise, you know what i’m thinking. *chuckles*
Spent most of the time taking photos with celebs that we almost totally missed out on the buffet. *groans* There goes my supper.
Anyways, i absolutely LOVE the quick cuts during one of the more happening acts. Gee, count it on me for forgetting what that act is. But it was totally neat! Great job to those behind the scenes!
Alright, i shall retreat to my lovely bed now. Will soon return to MCS in about 7-8 hours time. *whimpers* Sleep, sleep, here i come!

Jov and I came from Aljunied where we met another client. While discussing with our client about having her on our show, guess who entered the little studio??
I was like oh wow wow WOW! Jov didnt know who they were until yesterday. They smiled at us and we said hello to them!! =DDD JC SUM AND NING SIA!!! OMIGOSH! And Ning was so so so so so PRETTY!!! *fan girl*
Anyways, ordered a set meal ($15.90) at Swensen that consisted of one soup, drink and the main dish. Added another two bowls of rice ($1.60) to the portion. I must admit that i felt rather full towards the end. 1 and a half bowl of rice would be just right.
Ms N did the *shakes hand in front of nose and say “horrible”* wave. Hilarious! Even Megs is becoming one of us… similar wavelength. A male version of Jov. ROFL!
* * *
Woohoo! We received an invitation to another wedding today!
This time it’s to our Casting Director’s Indian wedding!!! Can’t wait to see how it’s like!
* * *
Oh i hate waiting for bus, taking bus, walking in the bus when it is moving, worrying over when to alight from the bus…… and almost everything to do with buses.
Big time waster, mood destroyer and great trigger to motion sickness.

Went to collect my new spects after meeting our last clients of the day (Ang and Tan meeting Ang and Tan, ROFL!).
Took train to Clementi and walked around searching for the block. Asked some random mobile phone seller who told me that i have to take a feeder bus to get there… Time then was around 6.45pm.
Called up the spects shop to ask for directions. She told me to take the bus after walking out from the left MRT exit and take 52 or 154.
Went to that bus stop to checkout how many stops that would be and i couldnt spot bus 52 anywhere.
Nevertheless, i waited for bus 154. After nearly 25 minutes, i became unsure and called up the shop again. When i told her that the board did not state anything about bus 52, she said “can’t be” in mandarin. I told her that i was still waiting for the bus and asked how long it would take if i walk there instead. She said 10 to 15 minutes. I told her that i will wait for a little while longer and see if bus 154 will come.
154 finally came after more than 30-35 minutes and it was darn crowded.
When i just reached the bus stop, the sky was still bright. When i boarded it, the sky was horribly dark. I couldnt see much and couldnt identify the mosque that the lady mentioned about. I only knew that i was clearly lost. That bus was freaking driving down the AYE highway, for goodness sake! D confirmed that i was heading the wrong direction. I started to panic.
Managed to alight but by then, i was at somewhere beyond west coast…… some ulu place called Jalan Ahmad Abrahim. I had to cross over a nightmare dark bridge and found out from the board that i was supposed to take bus 154 from the other direction at Clementi! That lady had given me the wrong directions!!! I called her up again to tell her that the directions she gave was wrong. And she was like surprised, apologetic and asked me how. I was like “no choice what. Have to sit back. Will reach there late.” The time then was 7.45pm. Sat alone for another 10 minutes or so before the bus finally came. Reached the shop at 8.10pm.
Picked up my spects and went home. Realized that the place is just before SP. I was like “WTH?” Sigh. Anyways, just tried out the spects at home again. It’s slanted. Dammit. Have to go back to that shop. *fumes*

From left: New spects and old spects
…… as privileged guests thanks to our superior! =D
We usually view it from the upper tier but this time, we will be sitting together with other important guests instead of screaming fans! WOW!
BUT
We have to dress formally! As in formal, formal! Not formally informal, if you get what i mean. OMO~!

Special thanks to Yam/n and Cyn =D
One of the plus points of interning at MCS. *grins*
- Went to the post office to collect my threadless package when the post woman could had simply slotted it into the mailbox and saved me the trouble.
- My first threadless tee! Probably the last too since i found out a tad too late that the prices were in US dollars…
- Naughty Ah Gui strolling around the kitchen when Mee was cooking.
- The Adventures of Ah Gui
Just some random thoughts:
- So excited! WenT bought Jeong Hoon notepad for me from Korea!!! XP
- Hope LTing and the rest will bring back more Hoonie stuff too from Japan!!! =PPP
- Been watching Ying2 and Flo creating pretty cartoons using Illustrator. Now i want to learn too!!!
- I finally understand the basics of playing pool
- When will that pushcart man contacts me regarding Jeong Hoon and Princess Hours’ posters!?! I’m getting impatient!!!
- I’m dying to eat the Nong Shim cup noodles that i bought in office! But i just can’t seem to find the right time to do so…
- I’m sunburnt. Should had applied at least a wee bit of sun block before cycling under the scorching sun…
- I need more clothes- bermudas, shorts, blouses, tops… Shocking eh?
- I bought new spects yesterday at Tampines after Jov, Megs and I met our clients. Luckily i can collect it at Clementi next week…
- MBS booking is forever full
- Reading “Breaking Dawn”… the fourth and final book in the Twilight series.
- Tomorrow’s work again. Ah oh ah oh ah oh. 6.30am must wake up in order to reach office by 9am… =’(
Went to Suntec to meet up yesterday with mine, Jov’s and Megs’ first client to discuss with him who to bring on our show (will reveal at a later date). He and his colleague were really friendly! He bought us coke (Meg’s addiction ROFL) too!
The meeting ended on a good note and we went to try out some shades and specs as well as checkout some awesome posters of our idols (DBSK, Shinee, MJ, Beatles, Wonder Girls, etc). No Jeong Hoon though but the push cart guy will update me once it is in stock. *prays hard*
The posters are selling at 10 bucks each. The push cart is just outside Toy ‘R’ Us, Tower 2, 3rd level.
Tomorrow we are going to travel to the East to meet up with another two clients. Busy, busy, busy. One can’t help but complains about the distance.
[P.S. I hate buses. Waiting time included.]
- Poor shoes. Had to taped with masking tape from the inside to seal the humongous hole.
- Saw a clown cum balloon sculpter on our way to meet our 1st client. Wanted to pass him my name card but decided not to. Too scary-looking for kids.
- OMG. I looked like an ah pek. LOL. Megs was helping us take this photo when our juniors sneaked in behind us. Btw, that guy at the centre was from my primary school, same cohort!
- We keep encountering Singapore Idol contestants at MCS. Megs is crazy about them!
- Teehee. Another Hoonie wallpaper. =X
- Latest addition to our desk. It has got to do with work. *wink*
Today at around 6.15pm, we felt our office shake. I did not realize until i heard someone mentioned the word “earthquake”. Sat still for a while and found out that the fan was shaking mildly and the ground was indeed shifting under my feet. That was my first time experiencing a tremor!
People started switching on the telly to listen to the news and we went to surround it as well. Was shocked that tsunami has come again. Earthquake too. Though I’m not too sure where they were from yet. (Refer to the news link below) However, we are certain that more deaths and bodies would be discovered in the days to come. Oh horrors.

Not cheap, not cheap at all.
Mee asked me if i can claim back the money.
I laughed.

- This was how Megs ate the tidbits… Biscuit before the candy. ROFL! What an unique habit!
- Checkout Jov plus my desk! Colourful eh? HAHA! Full of post-its of our contacts.
- On the other hand, this is Megs’ desk. HAHA!
- Bak Kut Noodles at Adam Road. 4 bucks and so little. Tasted real nice though.
- The sign said ‘no touting’ but it still happened… From one of the Drinks stall. Humph.
- Giant football outside some football club along the way to Wals’ aunt’s house
- So cute! Hard boiled egg that hangs from a stick (wedding gift)!
- Detached the egg and ate it. ROFL. My 1st gold rose

- More Than Words or Mini Toons’ little banana pens
- Cute coin boxes in the shape of a coin box
- Tiny ornaments that are useless but cute. Some contains bananas, hamburgers, hotdog buns and slices of cakes!
- Jov mentioned about blogging about this and i will. HAHA. Lent Aaronic my fork (inside a small white plastic) to eat his cup noodles and he returned with the fork without the plastic. Had to made do with a Guardian plastic bag….
- Aaronic was too loud so Yam and Jov had to converse about work via our connected phone lines. ROFL!!!!
- My little origami tank has become one of the ‘furnitures’ at work
- Wallpaper of the day. KIM JEONG HOON! =D
- The okto van! Cool eh?
Stomach hurts like hell today. Hurting still. *groans*

Darn, why are they so ex and slow to kick in…

Went for Wals’ parents’ wedding yesterday. That’s us with his mum. =]

By Cheryl Lim, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 26 September 2009 2219 hrs
Woohoo~!
- Ris guilty of credit fraud
- My Paper, 25 September 2009Gee, her arrogance is such a disappointment to the country. She’s exactly the type of pageant winners who have looks and little brain cells. *shakes head* I usually wouldn’t actually care much about such stuff but when i saw this video yesterday…… Watch and you will understand why.
Jeez man, seriously. What’s ‘Booms‘!? And she’s too ‘yaya papaya‘ for my liking.
-
Enough of that. Now for a touching vid… Darn sad. Jov and i felt for the little doggie after watching it today.
- And finally…
This video is real cool! Came across it during work. Love the slalom styles and crazy stunts especially the part on the road. The filming and editing are great too! Ultra cool omg. Wonder how anyone can be so flexible and skates so smoothly without getting their legs tangled.
Nowadays i keep feeling faint in office. No ideas why. Perhaps of tiredness or poor ventilation in the heat-y little room we were cooped up in.
In buses, i feel nauseous because of what id presumably thought was motion sickness. Was enlightened by Aaronic on a possibility that it could be something else. Will try out his suggestion next time… that is, wearing my spectacles during bus rides. ROFL!

JEONG HOON!!! HOT HOT HOT!!! *nosebleeds*
ROFL, that aside, our name cards arrived just minutes ago!!!
Will post up the photo when i get back home tonight.
NAME CARDS!!! JEONG HOON!!! NAME CARDS!!! JEONG HOON!!!
- Jov decided to change our comp’s wallpaper to Gackt…. =.=
- We finally reached an agreement to put a neutral one as wallpaper… 2PM!
- Lunch today in the not-as-crowded-as-we-thought-it-would be canteen. The laksa tasted great! Rarely do i finish the soup.
- Secretly changed the wallpaper to Hoonie when Jov was not around. *chuckles*
- Oh my, i look darn fat in this photo. Poor Hoonies.
- A close-up. *bites Hoonie* ROFL!
- Our namecards arrived! This delivery guy called me to ask about my location. I thought he called the wrong person until he mentioned the magic word- “name card”!
- A rather blur shot (on purpose to distort my numbers) of my namecards…
- We decided to try out how to divert calls from one phone to another after i groaned about having to answer calls from Flo&Ying2’s desk, which was my previous seat then
- And so, we found out how to divert the calls. ‘flash’ plus ‘extension number’.
- Flo directing the phone calls. LOL! Everyone tried out diverting from one phone to another while i happily snapped photos of them. ROFL!
Will probably post up another clearer photo of my name card (without the contact details) like Yam/n another time.
Saw Jay today at MCS. Her 1st day of internship at 987fm. DARN GOOD RIGHT!!! Her supervisor is Dan somemore!!! OMG! WOW!!!
Anyway, went back with her after work. The rest of our internship team, together with Wals, went to watch Singapore Idol (SI) live. Aww, i totally forgot that Dick Lee’s a judge on SI! Jov just msn-ed that “eh dick lee quite handsome”! Teehee.
Back to my transport story, Jay and I decided to try out bus 52 from MCS. By the time i reached JE (she alighted at IMM), i felt extremely nauseous due to the stupid motion sickness. And oh! The entire journey to Jurong East MRT Station took an hour! Kept groaning to Jay throughout the torturous journey. I detest long bus rides. *whimpers*
Gonna try out alternative bus routes other days. MRT rides are so much healthier.

HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY, ELV! =D
- dedicating Super Junior’s “Sorry, Sorry” and Click Five’s “Happy Birthday” to you!
is food.
- Went around TPY to shop for food while waiting for the rest to arrive today. Weird-looking toast from BreadTalk, Bean Curd and Free banana (Chansung!) from Dole
- The nauseating picky vending machine in MCS canteen. Sometimes it only accepts one dollar coin, sometimes fifty cents. Today, it only accepts 10 cent coins…
- Our little lunch gathering in MCS canteen. Today’s still MCS offday so there werent many people.
- My 3.50 bucks worth of Yee Mee. Yum.
- While walking from the radio building to our office… montage of interesting graphics/pictures. Spotted my neo pet, Chia. ROFL!
- Us on the way to our office from the canteen
- Ahhh, Yam/n and Shireen bought bubble teas for us. Coffee ice-blend FTW!
- Wals told me that Jeong Hoon’s stuff has arrived! Went to meet him and Yami to collect em after work just now.
- Oh my Hoonie…~ *swoons* Arena 37c Special Edition August 09 issue and JH 1st Mini Album have finally arrived!!! =]
Ahhh, Threadless is having sales for its hoodies now. Oh crap… They should have that combined with the tees’ sales the other time. *grrr*
- It’s been nearly 7 years since id last drank such stuff. I want more!!
- The long wait for bus 52 to MediaCorp from Bishan
- The parking lot void of cars on a MCS off day
- One of my snacks.. Kept getting hungry =(
- Bought black currant gummies in this interesting packaging at Bishan for 80 cents. Can’t believe it’s from Korea and allowed to be sold here (Obama+Black currant=Racism)!
- That’s all the gummies there are in the box. Darn nice and juicy but too little.
- Was searching for some cool origami for work purpose and i came across this one! Can’t help but make one =]
- *Vroom vroom*
- Supposed to stick a short straw but i couldnt find any so…
[Here's the link to making that origami tank.]
What i have learned from internship so far:
- I cannot survive without at least a fan
- Never say ’scared’ or nothing/little things can be accomplished
- Never say ‘don’t know’
- If don’t know, find out
- Where to place camera to ensure no crossing of line during filming (im bad at this)
- If the cameraman tells you (director) that you are crossing the line, tell him to continue to shoot and that he is not an editor as the latter can fix the shot during editing
- Have at least 5 shots from different angles of what you are shooting to make the subject interesting
Adhering to them is a different thing totally.
Point one will take place again on Tuesday (MediaCorp’s off day)
Point two to four would take much efforts and getting used to. Hmm.
This is one touching track by a group of Hottests as a tribute to LeadJ.

Manageable.

Walking to our office was like walking through a deep and complicated maze with endless doors.
Lot’s of stuff to learn and remember though. I sincerely pray that my memory won’t fail me anytime on this internship. Almost everything that we do, we need to book in advance. Booking= Paperwork= 5W1H= Complications. ROFL.
Cool thing is, we can have our own personal MediaCorp email addresses (the domain had us “wow“-ing) and phone lines (i share the ext with Ying2). Teehee.
Went on a guided tour around the studios, canteen and various important units within MCS. After which, we went for our lunch. Unfortunately, the canteen was rather crowded so we had our meals packaged and eaten in our little office in a building far far away.
Started on our work soon after and by the end of the evening, we had sent out dozens of emails and received a handful too. =]
Conceptualizing. Conceptualizing. Conceptualizing. It’s fun.
Let’s get through this together. 10=1 as like 7=1 (for 2PM)
[P.S. This could be one of the final few detailed blog posts relating to my internship stint.]
Gonna get to work again (from home). It’s 12am now. I’m coming, Jov~!
Today’s the last day of ‘freedom’.
More about it after my internship briefing later.
The gist of it is that i might not be blogging as regularly as the past since my internship stint is a period of 5 long months plus two weeks. The media industry hours are quite irregular so i have no idea when i will be free nor do i know what time i will actually end work tomorrow and so on.
Hopefully i can tweet more instead to compensate on the blogging aspect.
[Shout out to Yam/n! Tweeting through GladycastSMS needs $$??]
I hope i can survive these months. Hopefully i can still retain a sane mind. ROFL.
I will miss CASS toilet, Jeong Hoon, 2PM, my bed, my sleep, school, friends, people who cares about my welfare (ROFL!) and my money (already starting to deplete because of the 93bucks/month transport concession).
If only i have more time… Need to invest in jeans (work attire, hmm), food, transport, caller-ID, alarm clocks and sleep.
Speaking of sleep, i need to wake up at 6/plus am tomorrow (for the subsequent 5 months and 2 weeks?). 8am at Bishan. 9am at MediaCorp. Oh no.

4minute’s Kim HyunA is a fan of Hoonie too! Since 2000 when he debuted as a member in UN!
Shall miss Jeong Hoon alot. Sigh. But nothing beats a good night sleep (*scrunch up face*).

And finally, an encouraging fan cam video when Wooyoung urged Jaebeom on during their last performance together as 7 at Incheon Korean Wave Festival.
